goalless walk down semi-country road
Bella meets a jackass....not named Daddy
B suggested we walk down Franklin Canyon Road, a road we use a portion of, but only head in one direction....Saturday, we choose the path never traveled. Reef encountered her arch nemisis...anything large in four legs, and apparently there are pirates waiting for the river to flood again. Found a nice little nursery with some poor street signage, and lackluster pot storing strategies, but nice product for only slightly more than the local orange box.
We rewarded ourselves for walking 7 miles, by looping the walk by Kinder's for a sammich.
Work update:
B's company is struggling and some major changes could be coming soon.
I've landed a 4 week job taking field measurements and verifying as-built drawings for the entire campus of 12 buildings for the California Dept. of Public Health Care in Richmond, Ca. Good money for contract work...some strange experiences measuring in labs and test mice storage facilities, including full HAZMAT gear: tyvek suit (doesn't breathe well....at all) gloves, booties, mask, hair net...even sanitizing tape meausre, laser, pens and measuring board. Rooms and rooms we meausred full of mice in little boxes waiting to be shot full of viruses. Some of the males even get bored and start to pick the hair off his neighbors face and neck. Then we went to the laboratories to the rooms full of swine ful, HIV, rabbies, west nile....you know, all the good stuff.
I was a bit nervous at first, but like Leo said "those vials and beakers don't sneeze".
mexican earlier in the week....Oskar loves him some refried beans
