a fun weekend was had. I've decided to use this webspace as a sort of a personnal journal space, write down what I did the past couple of days, maybe share my mood, and how life is going.
About the weekend.....we went out to dinner on Friday night, Don Jose's Mexican Restaraunt in Alamo. B and I haven't had alot of alone time since getting Reef, so we decided to tire her out then go out to dinner...Don Jose's claims to have the best margaritas in town...so far, i think they are right...so far they are also the only margarita i've found in Alamo. After dinner, date nite was taken back home, where we watched Fifty First Dates which was sent to us via B's DVD club. Pretty funny, cute movie, i liked it. I was awaken by a phone call at 2:30 in the morning on friday nite. It was Frey calling from Quimby's house in Brooklyn. 5:30 am where they are...i see the logic..."you know..it's only 2:30 by Wiskow" honestly, that used to be me calling everyone at ridiculous times, now I'm the one living in the subarbs, with a live-in girlfriend and a kid (puppy...but she takes as much time as a kid). I called Scott back on Sunday when i finally remembered the call again, and the fact that it wasn't just a wierd dream.

Saturday was a great day at the beach in Santa Cruz. We found "Dog's beach" just north of the surf museum in Cruz....very cool little beach, tucked away from the wind, and so dog friendly it was almost scary. Our little pup pretty much kept to herself, but she likes to watch the other dogs run around. Reef still isn't much for the ocean, she kept "walking herself" back to the blankets where we were sitting when B would try to run her around in the water. We figure if we keep taking her to the ocean, she will eventually go in...i think she is just scared of the water, looks pretty big and scary to a little dog.
I nearly ran over B and my dog trying to leave Dog's Beach....note to self, never attempt to start manual car with one foot in the car and one foot out...the car leaped over the parking block, and nearly took out the side mirror of the car next to me, and worse yet, i nearly killed my dog, and my girl....and went off the cliff! not really that close...but i was freaking out for a minute. Felt like an idiot....figured i would write this down, help me remember those more humbling moments.
Sunday we cleaned a little, NFL season started, took Reef on a long walk into Las Trampas trails...she'll be running on the trails with me in now time.

PACKER MONDAY tonite as the NFL season opens for our beloved team. B called in sick today, which works great for me, now i can be home for the 6 o'clock kickoff!

go Pack!
